The Emmett Till Academy hosts classes, takes trips and bring motivational speakers to inspire, educate and encourage students. Here are some of our most memorable moments:

  • The Emmett Till Academy visited Montgomery Alabama and visited the Legacy Museum as well as Dexter Avenue Baptist Church. We also visited the Rosa Parks Apartments.

  • During class at the Emmett Till Academy we discussed civil rights leaders.

  • Another day, Dr. Tommie Mabry visited the Academy to encourage students through his urban motivational speaking. Dr. Mabry inspires youth to pursue higher education and entrepreneurship, and stay away from crime.
